Our Origin Story

It’s 2018, and I’m sitting in my cramped college dorm, surrounded by instant ramen cups and textbooks I should probably be reading. But instead, I’m hunched over my laptop, frantically searching for the latest chapter of My Hero Academia. Sound familiar?

That’s when it hit me – why isn’t there a place where manga lovers like us can not only read our favourite series but also geek out about them together? A lightbulb moment later (okay, maybe after a few days of procrastinating my assignments), mangabuddy was born.

Who are we? Just a bunch of manga-obsessed folks who turned their passion into a full-time gig (don’t tell our parents, they still think we have “real” jobs 😉).

Yuki (that’s me): Founder and chief manga enthusiast. My claim to fame is reading One Piece in a single week. My eyes still haven’t recovered.

Alex: Our tech guru. He makes sure the site runs smoothly so you can binge-read without interruptions.
